From South El Monte , NGC1294 is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 18:01 (PST), 64° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 20:06, 82° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 02:05, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
