From South El Monte , NGC2451 is difficult to observe as it will appear no higher than 17° above the horizon. It is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 19:55 (PDT), 17° above your southern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 20:42, 17° above your southern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 22:03, when it sinks below 15° above your southern horizon.
