From Columbus , VdB 23 is difficult to observe as it will appear no higher than 16° above the horizon. It is visible in the dawn sky, rising at 03:11 (EDT) – 2 hours and 52 minutes before the Sun – and reaching an altitude of 16° above the eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 04:51.
