The Moon and Mars will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 6°55' to the south of Mars. The Moon will be 26 days old.

From Cambridge , the pair will be visible in the dawn sky, rising at 01:37 (EST) and reaching an altitude of 41° above the south-eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 05:50.
