From South El Monte , Collinder 421 is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 20:25 (PDT), 60° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 22:48, 82° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 04:47, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
