LDN 1216 (Dark nebula)
                R/B-band color composite image from the Second Digitized Sky Survey (DSS2), measuring 22 arcminutes across.            
        From South El Monte , LDN 1216 is visible all night. It will become visible at around 19:00 (PDT), 55° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 21:01, 61° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 04:14, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
