From South El Monte , NGC7438 is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 17:58 (PST), 60° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 19:58, 69° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 02:37, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
