From South El Monte , Seginus is difficult to observe as it will appear no higher than 17° above the horizon. It is visible in both the dusk and dawn skies. In the evening, it will become visible at around 17:53 (PST), 16° above your north-western horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then sink towards the horizon, setting 2 hours and 48 minutes after the Sun at 19:44 (PST). In the morning, it will rise at 03:17 – 2 hours and 54 minutes before the Sun – and reach an altitude of 17° above the north-eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 05:15.
