From South El Monte , NGC6996 is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 19:04 (PDT), 77° above your northern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 19:25, 78° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 01:35, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
