From South El Monte , the Elephant Trunk is visible all night. It will become visible at around 19:10 (PDT), 62° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 20:31, 66° above your northern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 04:07, when it sinks below 16° above your north-western horizon.
