From South El Monte , IC2178 is visible in the evening sky, becoming accessible around 18:06 (PST), 25° above your north-eastern horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 23:24, 88° above your southern horizon. It will continue to be observable until around 05:00, when it sinks below 21° above your north-western horizon.
