Neptune and 1 Ceres will share the same right ascension, with Neptune passing 8°37' to the north of 1 Ceres.

From Columbus , the pair will become visible at around 18:34 (EDT), 28° above your south-western horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. They will then sink towards the horizon, setting at 21:42.

Neptune will be at mag 7.9, and 1 Ceres at mag 9.2, both in the constellation Aquarius.
