Uranus and 1 Ceres will share the same right ascension, with Uranus passing 3°43' to the south of 1 Ceres.

From Fairfield , the pair will be visible in the dawn sky, rising at 00:19 (EDT) and reaching an altitude of 60° above the south-eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 05:57.

Uranus will be at mag 5.5, and 1 Ceres at mag 8.6, both in the constellation Cancer.

The pair will be too widely separated to fit within the field of view of a telescope, but will be visible through a pair of binoculars.
