Uranus and 1 Ceres will share the same right ascension, with Uranus passing 6°59' to the north of 1 Ceres.

From South El Monte , the pair will become visible at around 17:45 (PDT), 22° above your south-western horizon, as dusk fades to darkness. They will then sink towards the horizon, setting 3 hours and 58 minutes after the Sun at 20:42.

Uranus will be at mag 5.8, and 1 Ceres at mag 9.2, both in the constellation Sagittarius.
