Conjunction of Venus and Ceres

Venus and 1 Ceres will share the same right ascension, with Venus passing 12' to the south of 1 Ceres.

From South El Monte , the pair will be visible in the dawn sky, rising at 03:32 (PDT) – 3 hours and 25 minutes before the Sun – and reaching an altitude of 23° above the south-eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 05:54.

Venus will be at mag -4.4, and 1 Ceres at mag 8.9, both in the constellation Ophiuchus.

The pair will be close enough to fit within the field of view of a telescope, but will also be visible through a pair of binoculars.
