Venus and 134340 Pluto will share the same right ascension, with Venus passing 9°55' to the south of 134340 Pluto.

From Fairfield , the pair will be visible in the dawn sky, rising at 03:03 (EDT) and reaching an altitude of 30° above the south-eastern horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks at around 06:06.

Venus will be at mag -4.5 in the constellation Scorpius, and 134340 Pluto at mag 14.5 in the neighbouring constellation of Ophiuchus.
