The Moon and Venus will make a close approach, passing within 1°30' of each other. The Moon will be 3 days old.

From Cambridge however, the pair will not be observable – they will reach their highest point in the sky during daytime and will be no higher than 6° above the horizon at dusk.

The Moon will be at mag -9.4; and Venus will be at mag -4.4. Both objects will lie in the constellation Leo.
