The Moon and Mars will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 6°01' to the north of Mars. The Moon will be 15 days old.

From Cambridge , the pair will be visible between 21:02 and 04:27. They will become accessible at around 21:02, when they rise to an altitude of 7° above your south-eastern horizon. They will reach their highest point in the sky at 00:45, 26° above your southern horizon. They will become inaccessible at around 04:27 when they sink below 7° above your south-western horizon.
The Moon will be at mag -12.5 in the constellation Libra, and Mars at mag -2.1 in the neighbouring constellation of Scorpius.
The pair will be too widely separated to fit within the field of view of a telescope or pair of binoculars, but will be visible to the naked eye.
